Senator French to Hold Legislative Hearing on Recent Inmate Fatalities in Alaska Correctional Facilities
Briefing to include testimony from Commissioner of Corrections, CEO of Mental Health Trust Authority, Correctional Officers Association, and inmate family members
ANCHORAGE – Tomorrow, July 15th, Senator Hollis French (D-Anchorage) will convene a special legislative hearing to examine the recent fatalities in Alaska correctional facilities.
Testimony will be taken from Alaska Department of Corrections, the Alaska Mental Health Trust Authority, the Alaska Correctional Officers Association, and inmate family members who requested to participate in the hearing.
