Senator Wielechowski, Rep. Gruenberg and Rep. LeDoux to Host East Side Town Hall Meeting With Governor Bill Walker
Alaskans asked to provide input for tough decisions to be made during upcoming legislative session
ANCHORAGE – As we approach the start of the 29th Alaska legislative session next month, Sen. Bill Wielechowski and Reps. Gruenberg and LeDoux invite East Anchorage and JBER constituents to an end-of-year Town Hall constituent meeting on December 16th from 6:30-8:00pm at Creekside Park Elementary School. Alaska Governor Bill Walker will participate in the event.
Attendees will be encouraged to ask questions and share their thoughts about how best to address the budget shortfall while preserving vital services important to Alaskans, education, resource development, taxes, the gas line, public safety, health care, and any other issues of concern.
“This session will be a challenging one,” said Senator Wielechowski. “Alaska’s looming fiscal crisis demands that we examine our priorities and make some tough decisions moving forward. I am eager to share the podium with my colleagues and the Governor, and hear from East Side and JBER residents about this, and the issues most important to them.”
Also up for discussion will be The Alaska Department of Transportation and Public Facilities’ Highway Safety Improvement Program project along the section of Muldoon Road between 11th Court and Boundary Avenue.
