Senator Gardner and Reps. Drummond and Josephson to Host Midtown Anchorage Town Hall Meeting
Alaskans invited to ask questions and comment on legislative session
JUNEAU – On the 47th day of the legislative session, Senator Berta Gardner (D-Anchorage) and Representatives Harriet Drummond (D-Anchorage) and Andy Josephson (D-Anchorage) invite constituents from Midtown, Spenard, and the UMed district of Anchorage to a Town Hall constituent meeting on Saturday, March 5th from 11:00-12:30pm at Steller Secondary School.
“I’m really looking forward to coming home to talk to folks,” said Senator Gardner. “I appreciate their feedback and perspective. With so many critical issues on the table, that input will be more valuable than ever.”
Attendees will be encouraged to share their thoughts and suggestions, and ask questions about the progress of the legislature to date, including how to address our budget shortfall while preserving vital services important to Alaskans.
“Alaska’s economy is officially in a recession, which adds to the importance of the decisions we make this session in Juneau,” said Rep. Drummond. “The guidance I receive during this Saturday’s town hall meeting will be vital in my decision making process.”
“The input of the people is incredibly valuable and useful as we in the Alaska Legislature struggle to make the right decisions for the future of our state,” said Rep. Josephson. “Please participate in the public process by joining Senator Gardner, Representative Drummond, and myself this Saturday.”
