Seward and 36th Improvements Project
-Northbound Access-

Dear Friends and Neighbors,

Senator Gardner talking to UAA engineering students
Senator Gardner talking to UAA engineering students

Thanks to the persistence of community members, the Department of Transportation is going to be re-evaluating its current plan alternatives for improvements to the intersection at Seward and 36th Avenue.

Currently none of the alternatives allow for north-bound access from westbound 36th. The DOT has announced that it will renew efforts to find an option for limited north-bound access.

Information regarding the re-evaluation will be made available to the public later this summer, and no decision will be made until the public has had a chance to review the findings.

To learn more about the project, as well as keep up to date on the latest information, visit the Department of Transportation’s project website, and don’t forget to leave them a comment with your opinions and ideas.

You can also contact the project manager if you have questions regarding the project:
