Amendments that Make a Difference

This session I was fortunate to have a variety of amendments pass that will benefit Alaskans, particularly those who help keep us safe and secure.  Here are some highlights:

  • Provide free vehicle registration for members of the Alaska National Guard
  • Preserve a tax credit for Alaskan businesses that hire veterans
  • Support basing a new squadron of F-35 fighter jets at Joint Base Elmendorf Richardson
  • Make it illegal to impersonate a parent for the purposes of gaining access to a child
  • Lower business license fees for disabled vets
  • Urge Congress to better assist veterans exposed to toxic chemicals

If you have ideas for legislation you would like to see considered by the legislature next year, please email me or call my office.  We are always interested in your ideas.
