Fall Special Session
Dear Friends and Neighbors,
Just yesterday, Governor Walker issued a proclamation for a special session to convene in Juneau on October 24th to address two key topics:
1) Reinstating a gas reserves tax on North Slope resources still in the ground
2) Making budget appropriations to fund the state’s part in the Alaska Liquefied Natural Gas (AK LNG) project, including the state’s option to buy TransCanada’s share of the gas pipeline and treatment facility
Click HERE for a video of the Governor’s proclamation.
The gas pipeline is our future, so I'm hoping people can put politics aside, come together and move forward on this project.
At this year's Spirit of Muldoon Picnic with neighbor, Aaron Pascar. Always great seeing old friends and making new ones, even in the rainy weather!

Traffic Calming Funds for East Anchorage
We all have concerns about traffic and pedestrian safety on our neighborhood streets. It’s a topic I talk with constituents about all the time and is a high priority for East Anchorage.
In an effort to address these concerns, I worked to secure funding for traffic calming in our district.
With remaining grants set to expire next year, I am working diligently with fellow legislators and the Municipality to use these funds before they lapse, in the most effective way possible.
As a major part of this process, my office is working closely with our area Community Councils to determine which streets are the highest priority for each neighborhood. Join your next Community Council meeting to learn more.
Those living in the Northeast Community Council boundaries are also invited to attend the NECC’s next CIP/Traffic Calming Committee meeting to give input:
What: NECC Traffic Calming Committee Meeting
When: Thursday, October 1st, 6:00-7:00pm
Where: Muldoon Boys and Girls Club (1251 Muldoon Road)
