Senator Wielechowski Celebrates the Retention of the 4/25 Infantry Brigade Combat Team at JBER
JUNEAU — Today, Alaska received news of the U.S. Army’s decision to retain the 4-25 Infantry Brigade Combat Team at Joint Base Elmendorf Richardson (JBER). That decision is applauded by Senator Bill Wielechowski (D-Anchorage) who represents the service members of JBER.
“I’m extremely pleased by the Army’s decision that the 4-25 Infantry Brigade Combat Team is here to stay. The 4/25 is made up of highly-skilled patriots who do their state and country proud. Alaska’s strategic global position makes the retention of these 5,000 soldiers critical to our national security, and these outstanding soldiers and their families contribute to our community every day.”
